Bromsgrove District Scouts

Bromsgrove is one of 12 districts within Hereford & Worcester Scout County. The district stretches out from Bromsgrove town centre in all directions to Hagley in the North and the nearby town of Droitwich in the South. We cover from Barnt green in the East to Ombersley in the West. Click here for a local map. Within this area we have 14 different Scout Groups, Units and Fellowships.

Scouting is available to young people aged 6 to 25.
Ages 6 to 14 correspond to the first 3 sections of scouting and are offered by the local Scout Groups in Bromsgrove:

• Beaver Scout Colonies are the youngest section in Scouting (6-8 years) they normally meet for an hour each week.
• Cub Scouts is for 8-10½ year olds and most Cub Scout Packs meet for 1½ hours a week,
• The Scout Troop covers 10½ to 14 and most Troops meet for around 1½ or 2 hours a week.

The final 2 sections are offered more centrally:

• At 14 young people can join Explorer Scouts, this is a new section for young men and woman up to the age of 18.
• The final section of Scouting is Scout Network, for 18 to 25 year olds.
• In addition those of any age over 18 can join one or both of our Scout Fellowships.
